Hong Kong, 25 October 2012, Hong Kong’s favourite brands will be revealed on Tuesday 6 November 2012 at the Hong Kong General Chamber of Commerce in Admiralty. At the event, companies will find out which of Hong Kong’s brands have been deemed “Superbrands” by the general public. Fifteen hundred consumers across Hong Kong were asked to identify their favourite brands in terms of quality, prestige and trust – the top ten brands will be revealed on the 6th. The research was carried out by BDRC Asia in Hong Kong in this month.
Since 1994, Superbrands has been rewarding and showcasing the world’s best brands in more than 80 countries across the world. Recognised the world over, the distinctive Superbrands logo is seen as a mark of excellence. In fact, The Neilson Company found that 70% of consumers are more likely to consider buying a brand associated with Superbrands because they associate the brand with superior products or services.
Mark Pointer, CEO of Superbrands Hong Kong says: “In this day and age when competition is fierce it’s important for businesses to have a competitive edge. They need to differentiate themselves from other brands in the same category and show that they are a brand that the public can trust. Superbrands pays tribute to the strongest and most valuable brands in Hong Kong. Consumers recognise and associate the Superbrands logo with excellence, a good reputation and superior quality. What’s more these awards are voted by consumers – so it is strong praise indeed.”
