When Brazilian-Japanese Street Food restaurant Uma Nota first opened its doors in March 2017, it reached out to CRED to help spread the word. With the unique concept of serving sharing dishes inspired directly by the street food of Liberdade (Sao Paulo’s ‘little Japan’), the restaurant was an instant hit, attracting crowds with its large piece of street art, fresh cocktails and fun atmosphere.
Through a launch event, a blogger food workshop, journalist tastings and traditional media relations we successfully launched Uma Nota into Hong Kong’s restaurant scene. The launch event saw VIPs and influencers from Hong Kong’s F&B, fashion and lifestyle scenes attend an opening party complete with Brazilian dancers, a DJ and drummers, while the blogger food workshop presented an opportunity for ten of Hong Kong’s top food Instagrammers to recreate a signature dish alongside Uma Nota’s chef advisor Dagoberto Torres, following this with a full tasting menu.
With over 100 media mentions in just three months and waiting queues of up to two hours, Uma Nota was an instant hit and continues to draw crowds on a nightly basis.
