Business owner by day, amateur artist by night

Hailing from Scotland, Mandy has been working in the communications field for over 20 years.  After graduating from Queen Margaret University in Edinburgh with a BA (hons) in Communications, Mandy’s first role was doing marketing communications for FMCG giant Scottish & Newcastle. Mandy then moved to a senior communications role at the Sea Fish Industry Authority where she was responsible for the entire UK seafood industry, from net to plate, delivering many impactful and award-winning PR campaigns, before moving to Hong Kong in 2006 to do marketing for the exhibition and trade industry. Her desire to deliver strategic and creative communications campaigns led her to establish Cred Communications in 2010.

 

Mandy’s strengths lie in developing a solid strategy, managing reputations and achieving results.  Throughout her career she has achieved in-depth communications experience across many different areas including consumer communications, corporate communications, celebrity engagement, crisis management, corporate social responsibility, event management, public affairs and other stakeholder engagement.

 

Her experience in the highly competitive Scottish PR industry together with her dedication to building a successful PR business has turned Mandy into a self-improvement enthusiast who reads up to three self-development and business books a month. She spends her days looking at ways in which Cred can serve clients better.

Lorna Lennon

Lorna Lennon

Passionate about people and politics

Consultant by day, wanna-be qi gong by night.

Armed with a B.A in French and English Literature, Irish-born Lorna moved to Paris before landing in PR with Burson-Marsteller in NYC. On returning to Paris, she worked with agencies (Burson & Lintas) moving from purely healthcare clients to consumer brands. A number of years in-house forged a strong interest in reputation management (Eurotunnel). Returning agency-side to work with clients in retail (Marks & Spencer), technology, healthcare and consumer led her to found a boutique consultancy focusing on building, nourishing and protecting reputation. Living between Paris and Hong Kong, she now spends her days building programmes for clients to prepare for the inevitable communication challenges all brands face, and works freelance as Cred’s crisis communications expert. With a knack for identifying both threats and opportunities and her natural curiosity and interest in people, politics and places, Lorna has been an invaluable part of the Cred team on more than one occasion.

Cecilia Li

Passionate about great client servicing and social media

Photo enthusiast by day, foodie by night

With three years of experience in the creative industry, Cecilia first started working as an account executive in a branding and advertising agency before moving on to PR. She holds two degrees, a BA in Journalism and Mass Communication and an MA in Visual Culture Studies from the Chinese University of Hong Kong. Her strengths lie in media management, event planning and client servicing, while her Hong Kong heritage gives Cecilia great insights into and understanding of the local culture. In addition to her experience in managing creative advertising campaigns, Cecilia has worked on consumer and media events, social media campaigns and media relations; her previous client portfolio encompasses major airline British Airways, leading gaming publisher Electronic Arts, property developers New World Development and Nan Fung Group and lifestyle, fashion, beauty and luxury brands such as Chow Sang Sang, as well as NGOs.

 

She now spends her days communicating with clients, media and influencers, managing projects and establishing trusted relationships with clients by providing thoughtful and efficient client service and execution.

During her years at Newcastle University studying BA (Hons) in Sociology, Nicole’s passion for copywriting and translation made her realise she belongs in the PR industry. Having followed her passion, she has now been in the industry for 4 years and has worked with tech giants including Facebook, Instagram, Microsoft, and Huawei as well as retail and lifestyle brands such as Korean Air and McDonald’s. With a strong arm in media relations and event management and the ability to multi-task, Nicole has helped numerous clients launch consumer technology products that range from mobile phones to tablets.

 

With the knowledge and confidence her international exposure instilled in her, Nicole has developed a good relationship with the local media and spends her days crafting key messages for campaigns, organizing launch events, lining up media interviews for clients, and handling media queries.

Passionate about great copywriting and even greater storytelling

Baker by day, boxer by night

With a BFA in advertising from the Savannah College of Art and Design where she graduated as Salutatorian of the class of 2016, Melissa knew from a very young age that she wanted to work in the creative industry. Her knack for coming up with truly creative ideas, formulating strategic campaigns, thorough research and communicating as clearly and efficiently as possible (an inevitable byproduct of her northern German heritage) has led her to work with agencies such as Ogilvy & Mather and DDB. On the other hand, her love for copywriting has seen her through an internship at South China Morning Post, developing copy for award-winning campaigns, freelance editing a professor’s book on branding and working as co-creator and author of student publications all through university.

 

Having lived in Hong Kong all her life, she is familiar with and passionate about the culture there, and spends her days building trusting relationships with clients and media, crafting newsworthy client stories, developing strategic campaigns and focusing mainly on lifestyle brands.

Christmas is Cred’s resident music buff and Chinese media relations expert. An associate degree from City University in Public Relations and Advertising and a bachelor’s degree from Polytechnic University in Marketing and Public Relations cultivated her passion for public relations and honed her skills in media relations and crisis management.

 

With a talent for developing creative campaign concepts, Christmas has worked on various clients in the lifestyle, F&B, and technology industries including Lindt, Freshmax, British Council, Uma Nota, and Gobee.bike. A true Hong Kong local, Christmas has always been independent and a hard worker, and now spends her days maintaining excellent relations with both clients and media, prioritizing great coverage above all else.

Faristha’s love for writing and storytelling landed her in the dynamic world of public relations. With a BA in English from the Chinese University of Hong Kong, she counts copywriting as one of her main strengths alongside media relations and event management, which has helped her immensely when working on PR and digital campaigns for clients including Holiday Inn Golden Mile, Garage Society, British Council, Gobee.bike, and WTIA.

 

Faristha’s family is originally from the South of India but like most other Cred teammates, she grew up in Hong Kong. This highly competitive city taught her to always stay on top of her game, an attitude that has followed her to Cred as she is constantly monitoring the latest developments in her clients’ industries. Now Faristha spends her days drafting press releases, creating tailor-made pitches to the media to get quality coverage for clients, planning and executing events and servicing clients.

As Cred’s office manager, Teresa plays an invaluable role in ensuring every aspect of the business runs smoothly. Her love for detailed Standard Operating Procedures, hunting for new resources to support the business and finding efficient and effective cost-saving plans make her a dedicated team member that everyone relies on for order and organization. Fluent in English, Mandarin and Cantonese and with an MBA, she has over 25 years of experience, first working for several exhibition and publishing companies obtaining substantial experience in event management, and later moving to Global Sources where she worked for over ten years, sustaining her strong capabilities in database management. Teresa moved to Cred Communications in 2016, following her need to constantly grow and try new things. She had always hoped to work in a company where work is fun, lively, exciting and yet challenging, which is something she found in Cred Communications. Teresa now spends her days helping everyone – from clients to suppliers – co-ordinating activities to ensure that everyone receives the best possible service.
